India’s Harnaaz Sandhu has been crowned Miss Universe 2021. Punjab-based Harnaaz represented India at the 70th Miss Universe 2021, held in Eilat, Israel on Monday. This is a proud moment for the country because the 21-year-old Chandigarh-based model brought home the coveted crown after 21 years. Harnaaz was crowned Miss Universe 2021 as she beat Paraguay’s Nadia Ferreira and South Africa’s Lalela Mswane. Only two Indians have won the Miss Universe title before Harnaaz – Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000.
